 |
 |
 |
Several studies have found that tea and theaflavins positively affect
cholesterol levels.
Reducing
cholesterol and improving cardiovascular health
A recent study showed that theaflavins can significantly reduce levels of bad
cholesterol, while in 1998, Harvard scientists found that drinking tea daily
leads to a 44 percent lower risk of heart attack.
Preventing
cardiovascular disease
Increased tea consumption is thought to reduce the risk of stroke, coronary
heart disease and blood vessel dilation. The National Cancer
Institute estimated that the effects of regular tea consumption lower the
risk of cardiovascular disease.
